Our services can be completed at the fraction of the cost of a complete reconstruction because just the top layer is removed, recycled, and replaced. When the service is performed by a quality crew like ours, it can last for nearly 25 years with proper maintenance! When the existing asphalt is still sound but in need of repair, resurfacing the existing asphalt with 1.5” or 2.0” is an option. To maintain current drainage patterns and or reveal at the gutters, the removal of the existing asphalt is usually required. This removal is called “milling.” We own our own fleet of milling machines to ensure that the operation goes smoothly and quickly.

Depending on the situation, the entire surface may need to be removed, or we may mill only at the curb lines so that the new asphalt layer will lay flush with the existing elevation of the curbs and or gutter. After the mill is completed, the existing surface is swept clean and a tack coat is applied. The tack coat bonds the new layer of asphalt to the existing underlying layer of asphalt. Lastly, a new layer of asphalt is installed.
